This week you will write a paper based on a Client Centered Approach that uses therapeutic empathy, accurate empathy or active listening & OARS: fundamental counseling skills as a basis of all sessions. Answer the following questions:
What skills are required by counselors in addictions counseling to show empathy?
What are the risks associated with low levels of empathy in healthcare professionals?
Describe what the OARS: Fundamental Skills are and create an example using the skills.
