This assignment supports the following objectives:
Apply knowledge of quality assessment and management tools to collect and present data for quality management, utilization review, resource management, risk management, and other health care purposes.
Hospital administrators play an active role in facilitating the development of infection prevention programs. To develop an infection prevention program, the PDSA approach may be used. For this assignment, you will demonstrate how the PDSA cycle functions in a real-life situation.

Consider yourself in this scenario:
Elmdale Hospital needs to create an infection prevention program (IPP). You are a department administrator and will be collaborating with clinical and non-clinical professionals to create the official documents, design staff trainings, and ensure compliance. For your first meeting with the infection committee, you�ve been tasked with creating a basic overview of how the infection prevention program will be designed.
